- banes nut Review added: 2018.08.26★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆We've loved this place and have returned year on year. This year we returned and things have changed somewhat. Staff were rather indifferent and the menu has changed quite dramatically. Far more of a 'quality cafe' than a 'beach restaurant' with last orders at 7pm. No mussles, no lobster etc. Having said that, the dressed crab was acceptible and the children were happy with the slightly posher 'skin on fries' selection.
Perhaps this is the direction they wish to pursue? Perhaps this is making more money but I would say that the place was often very busy in the Summer months and very empty last Sunday night. - Ruth Clark Review added: 2018.02.01★ ★ ★ ★ ★Great little cafe right beside the steps down to the passenger ferry. Parking extremely limited immediately outside but you can go down to the Mill Bay NT carpark and walk back, or make sure you come at a quiet time like we did! Fantastic food with good vegetarian and gluten free options, including gf icecream cones - a real treat! Good coffee too and the chap serving was very friendly and helpful. Also has wifi & wonderful views across the water to Salcombe.
